Ingredients
9-10 lumpia wrappers (or spring roll wrappers)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
4 oz (½ block) cream cheese, softened
½ cup thick pizza sauce
½ cup mini pepperoni (or regular chopped small)
2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp Italian seasoning
Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
Oil for frying
1. In a bowl, stir together softened cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, and pizza sauce. Add pepperoni, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. The texture should be creamy and gooey.
2. Rotate your lumpia wrapper like a diamond. Place 1–2 tablespoons of filling on the lower third of a lumpia wrapper. Fold bottom corner up, and roll tightly, folding in the sides as you go. Seal the edge with water. Repeat until all are filled. Place in freezer for 15 minutes to help set shape.
3. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a pan to 350°F. Fry lumpia in batches for 3–4 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
4. Enjoy hot with pizza sauce or ranch for dipping.
The flavor is a homemade upgrade of everyone’s favorite freezer snack
