Oven Baked Party Ribs
You don’t need a smoker to make delicious babyback ribs. These oven baked party ribs are for the people who want something easy, reliable, and ridiculously good with minimal effort. Just EVOO, BBQ rub, a hot oven, and a sticky BBQ glaze at the end.
Honestly, this recipe is easier than asking ChatGPT to use a smoker. No foil. No spritz schedule. I don’t cut the silver skin on the back because I’ve never noticed a difference. Slicing the ribs into individual pieces gives you more texture and helps the ribs cook faster. Just juicy ribs with great bark and caramelized edges straight from the oven.
Ingredients
1 rack baby back ribs sliced individually
1 tbsp coconut oil (refined or unrefined)
2–3 tbsp BBQ rub
½ cup BBQ sauce (obviously I used my Tastebud Calamansi Barbecue Sauce)
Honey (for extra sticky glaze)
1. Set the oven to 350°F. Place a wire rack over a sheet pan or roasting pan lined with foil for easy clean-up.
2. Pat ribs dry. Rub all over with coconut oil. This helps the seasoning stick and promotes browning. Coat generously with BBQ rub on both sides.
3. Place ribs on the rack and bake at 350°F for 1.5 hours, uncovered. Halfway through, flip the ribs over.
4. Brush ribs lightly with BBQ sauce. Cover with honey. Broil for 3–5 minutes until bubbling and caramelized.
